There’s a bit of a chill in the air and my denim jacket isn’t quite keeping me warm enough, even with a scarf, hat and gloves. So it’s time to get a winter coat. My partner brought a beautiful winter jacket for £90; reduced from £300 – from TK Max and whilst it was a bargain, albeit an expensive one, I didn’t fancy paying that for my winter jacket so I set myself a little challenge – to find an equally beautiful jacket for a fraction of the price.
Mission accomplished – thanks to my local charity shop- Save The Children; I brought this beauty of a coat for £7.50 It’s a brand new River Island coat, it still had the label on it and it keeps me really warm. The charity shop is right next to where I work, and probably the best one I’ve seen in Birmingham so far. I’ve found London charity shops to be amazing and the ones in Brommie not so good, but the shop next to my work (very convenient) is awesome. http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/get-involved/charity-shopping/sutton-coldfield
I’ve found charity shops to be really good for work wear, I don’t know about you but I don’t fancy and can’t really afford to buy new suits for work, but I have found suit jackets/work skirts for a tenner if that in charity shops and they are in really good condition.
Oh I do love finding a bargain!
